I received a text message from a friend whom I hadn't spoken to in way too long. His wife and I had worked closely together for 20 years. They are both dog lovers and one of their precious furry family members had unexpectedly passed. He sent me a couple source photos and asked if I would be able to draw her from any of the remaining images. We found one that worked and I was able to finish and deliver his pastel drawing last night. It was a very touching evening, as I can tell that the drawing meant a lot to him as we unpackaged it, and he saw it for the first time. A very special drawing, for a very special couple.
