Back in the Studio and Feeling Great!
Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to update you all on why I’ve been so quiet on my blog lately. From mid-April to the end of May, I was extremely sick. It felt like an eternity, and being away from the studio for seven weeks really messed up my commission schedule. It was a tough time, but I’m finally feeling back to my chipper self and ready to share what I’ve been working on.
During my recovery, I’ve been scrambling to complete several commissions by their due dates. Now that I’m back on track, I’m excited to share some of the pieces I’ve completed:
- BN Highlander: A 40x30 oil on canvas painting of an adorable highlander cow laying in a pasture. This piece was commissioned by a very good friend of mine and was a joy to create.
- Milly: An 11x14 oil on canvas painting of my friend’s dog, Milly. This same great friend commissioned this as a gift for his friend. I’m so appreciative of his support and the work he’s sent my way.
- Haury Wagon: A 48x24 black and white painting from an old family photo. This was commissioned by a repeat customer, and those who saw it in person as it was being completed gave me really great reviews, calling it striking. It was such a fun project to work on.
- Jada and Monroe: A painting of a local young woman and her horse. This piece was a bit of a nail-biter as the young woman is very pretty, and I haven’t completed many human portraits yet. In the end, people agreed that I was able to capture her likeness, which was exciting. I appreciate the work from my friend, Steven.
- Havee: A painting of a lively dog named Havee, commissioned by a married couple who are great friends and have supported me with several projects. Capturing a good source photo of Havee was a challenge, but they got it done in time to make a great surprise for their mom.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all my repeat customers for their encouragement and support. Each of these pieces was a joy to create, and I’m so grateful for the work.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding during my recovery. I’m looking forward to sharing more art and updates with you all soon.
Stay tuned for more!
Warm regards,
Hallie
